Only Eight Players Left Undefeated And One of Them is Ranked 39th! and is a member DAV Ch 5

    11/11/06: It's official, the story of this tournament so far is #39 ranked Gail Grecar, who remains the only player out of the top ten ranked women in the world to remain undefeated in the Cuetec Cues National Championships. Gail opened with a win over Lisa D'Atri 9-4, then surprised fans when she upset Kim Shaw 9-8. But when she defeated Gerda Hofstatter 9-6, they actually sat up and took notice! Rounding out the final eight undefeated in the tournament are the usual suspects: Allison Fisher, Vivian Villarreal, Kelly Fisher, Monica Webb, Ga Young  Kim, Helena Thornfeldt and Karen Corr. 16 players on the one loss side will battle for eight to face them in the final 16 single elimination portion of the tournament. Stay tuned for the final sixteen pairings later today!
